Design Philadelphia 2009Swap-O-Rama-Rama

Empty out your closets and refresh your look. Swap-O-Rama-Rama Philly is your dream clothing swap. Inside the doors you’ll find clothes, shoes, and accessories that will transform your wardrobe along with sewing, silkscreen, and other creative stations that will allow you to create a one-of-a-kind piece and walk away with tips to make someone’s old clothes new.

In its second year, SORR brings hundreds of people together to shop, swap, reuse, and recycle. Last year’s event attracted about 250 attendees and there was over a ton of clothes recycled as well- that’s about 1,200 lbs of clothing!! So, bring clothes to swap, enjoy a bite to eat, meet area crafters, and hear great bands brought to you by Girls Rock Philly.

The 2nd Annual SORR Philly takes place on Sunday, October 11 at the Old Pine Community Center, located at 401 Lombard Street, Philadelphia. A portion of this year’s proceeds will go to Girls Rock Philly, an initiative to bring Philadelphia a girls-only, summer day camp serving ages 9-17. Led by a team of all female instructors & band coaches, girls in the program learn how to play musical instruments, write songs, make their own band merchandise, discover other women in rock & finesse their on-stage jump kicks.

Connect locally, explore creatively, and reuse responsibly. We hope you’ll get as excited as we are!

Looking forward to seeing you at the swap!
